Three decades of family gatherings (Family Reunion) all of us have grown in many different ways. Our lives have change in many ways. We have added to our family and many have passed on. We have laughed much, heard many good songs, and shed many tears. For those family members who we no longer see among us, they are here. They are an integral part of who we are. As long as we remember their love, their laughter, their songs, their words of encouragement, and their gentle hands, they will be a part of who we are. Every time we smile, they smile: whenever we laugh, they laugh, whenever we sing, they sing….

So let us remember all through the next 50 Family Reunions that we are all connected by the strand of love that binds all of our hearts together. Because of their staunch warnings, open hearts, loving hands, and stout-hearted pride, voices of our heritage forever call. We are the off-springs of those gone before us - Sarah Thomas Moses, Lula Brown, Wallace Thomas, Otis Moses, Jannie Jupiter, Elveta Moses Godwin, Nuke and Sam Mcclam, Eshmel….. These few are among many proud examples that we must always teach our children to remember and emulate if we are to survive.
